Forsyth Hometown Holiday Parade
What can be better than starting the holidays with a parade? Why Santa of course! Join us in town for our 33rd Annual Hometown Holiday Parade. The lighted parade winds through downtown Forsyth, spreading holiday cheer to children and adults of all ages.

Downtown Bolingbroke Annual Christmas Parade
Mark your calendars for Beautiful Downtown Bolingbroke’s 31st Annual Christmas Parade. Come enjoy the parade festivities, food trucks, & Santa’s Workshop following the parade. Parade begins at 11am and route will be on Rivoli Road in Bolingbroke.

Hamlin Hills Lighted Corn Maze
Hamlin Hills has transformed their corn maze into a Christmas Lights maze! Come take a walk through the rows and rows of beautiful lights and Christmas decorations, including their huge beautiful Christmas tree! There will be a bonfire & yummy smores for everyone! Visit Monday through Sunday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm with $8 for the maze and enjoy: Beautiful Lights – Delicious BBQ – Hayrides – Hot Chocolate – Apple Cider – Helicopter. 2023 Event TBD

New Year’s Eve Ball Drop
Looking for fun for the whole family on New Year’s Eve? Join us on the historic Courthouse Square, December 31st, 2023 at 9:00 pm, for live entertainment. It is a party! So, tap your toes, dance, eat, and have lots of fun! Stay for the midnight countdown and Ball Drop too!
First Day Hike
Want to start the new year off with a bang? Then join us, January 1st, 2024 9:00 am – 10:30 am, at High Falls State Park to get that heart pumping on a moderate 2.5 mile hike. This is a guided hike on our Tranquility Trail. We will meet at the Tranquility Trail-head at 10:00 AM. Please dress for the weather and wear closed toed sturdy hiking shoes. Everyone is welcome, but the trail is not easily accessible for strollers. Free with $5 paid parking.
Waiting for James
Waiting for James: Laura Robinson, a woman in her mid-twenties, must trust her heart to make the right decision – take a chance on Joel, a charming man she meets in a French restaurant on Valentine’s Day, or wait for James, her insensitive boyfriend who just happens to be over an hour late for their date. Groundhog Day Ceremony
Is winter here to stay, or is spring just around the corner? Groundhog Day is a popular North American tradition observed in the United States and Canada every year starting in the 16th century. Announcing whether a groundhog sees its shadow after it emerges from its burrow allegedly predicts the arrival of spring. Visit Dauset Trails Nature Center the morning of Friday Feb. 2, 2024, to find out what General Beauregard Lee has to say at sunrise. The main gate will be open by 6:00 AM. This free ceremony will be 7:30 am – 10:30 am.
