The Back Lot Players Present - The Harmony Baptist Church Ladies Auxiliary Christmas Jubilee
Pastor Bobby has come to Harmony just in time for the 25th Annual Harmony Baptist Church Christmas Jubilee. As the town readies for the celebration, things start to fall apart. No one can decide who will play the angel in the pageant, the star on the Christmas tree won’t light up, the fruitcake bake-off is a disaster, and, worst of all, the baby Jesus is missing. But as the town fights to hold on to their traditions, they learn that maybe “progress” isn’t a dirty word.

The Backlot Players at the Rose Theater present January’s addition to the ’19– ’20 season.
One of the most beloved characters of American fiction, Tom Sawyer is a force of nature — whether he’s sneaking out of his Aunt Polly’s house at night to visit the graveyard, or duping his playmates into white-washing a fence, or stealing a kiss from the ravishing Becky Thatcher, or taking a stand against the murderous Injun Joe. Tom’s small-town adventures on the banks of the Mississippi are the magical essence of childhood, a joyous leap into the great river of time and memory.
