The City of Forsyth Bicentennial Celebration EST. 1823

The City of Forsyth, GA Bicentennial Celebration – EST. 1823
Join us Friday September 22, 2023 for the Retro Music Fest on the Square in downtown Forsyth, followed by two days (September 23 & 24) of celebration with ceremonies with elected officials, a historic photo tour displayed at he Forsyth City Hall, weekly Forsyth Facts published in the Reporter and on social media, an aviation fly-over, live music, tethered hot air balloon rides, food trucks, games, arts & crafts, fireworks, a kid’s corner, historic walking tours and many other celebratory activities.
The Bicentennial Celebration will conclude with a birthday party and the interment of a time capsule near the Bicentennial Legacy Tree, containing letters to the future from members of the community on December 9, 2023.

Sex, Sin and the C.I.A.
A C.I.A. agent gets caught in his own booby traps. He electrocutes himself, sets fire to himself, gets a bucket stuck on his head, and finally locks himself in his own handcuffs! Add to the inevitable chaos, a stranded televangelist, his innocent secretary (or is she?), an ex-marine caretaker, who isn’t what he seems to be, and a mysterious, glamorous neighbor, and you have a complex, laugh out loud comedy. 10th Annual Anchor of Hope Golf Tournament
The Anchor of Hope Golf Tournament is hosted at River Forest in Forsyth on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9, 2023. The proceeds from the tournament serve families facing developmental disability by funding a monthly Parents’ Night Out respite program, a Supplemental Scholarship financial aid program, a monthly Parent Support Group, and allow the development of new programs to meet our community’s specific needs.
