1st Saturday Shop Small
Join us in downtown Forsyth on the first Saturday of each month for our special 1st Saturday Shop Small event. Enjoy the sweet life in Forsyth and look for the shopping and dining specials sure to please! And don’t miss out on the special treat — Forsyth Mainstreet sponsors a free concert and food trucks on those first Saturday nights— May through August!

The heat got you down? Nothing to do for the summer? Wait! Come out and make a splash at the Splash Pad! Now Open, Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 am – 8:00 pm, CLOSED MONDAY (except on holidays) for maintenance. All children must be supervised.
Join other trivia contestants for Blake Morton’s Salty Trivia Tuesdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Jonah’s on Johnston! There will be prizes, family fun, and of course pizza!

Every Friday beginning in May and lasting until October, purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, dairy, homemade soap, and natural and organic goods from local farmers at the Forsyth Farmers Market. Stop by anytime 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm.

Animal Art Show
Come support local arts! This animal art exhibit features animal themed artisan works in photography, painting, digital art, and mixed media. Art will be on display June 3-17, 2023, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, at the Artisan Guild.
Summer Concert Series
Rebel is an alternative rock band from Miami, Florida and is comprised by Micke Fedez, John C. and AJ Navarrete. If your into alternative you’re in for an amazing night in Forsyth’s historic downtown. VIP tables and armbands are available. June 3rd, 2023, 8:00 pm, on the square.
Save A Pet Rescue Ride
A house is not a home without a pet. Help Save A Pet, Inc. by taking an ‘adventure ride’ followed by an included lunch, raffle and live band, “The Mustangs,” to support an effort to rescue and rehome pets. $20 per bike/jeep and $10 ea. passenger. June 10th, 2023, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at art but didn’t know how to begin? Come learn about Plein Air Painting. We will share information about what materials you need to get started, local Plein Air groups, National Opportunities, and the importance of on-the-scene painting. Paws on the Falls
Bring your furry friends along on this .5 mile hike at High Falls State Park. Participants should meet at the park office. The first hike begins at 9:00 am, Saturday, July 1st, 2023. The second hike begins at 10:00 am Saturday, July 15th, 2023. Both events are free with $5 paid parking. Spots are limited so, please call to pre register.
Think you have good luck? Come and “test your luck” in a few rounds of High Falls State Park Campground Bingo. We will meet in the program area from 10:30 am – 11:30 am on July 1st, 2023. A Bingo match will also be held on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023, at 12:00 noon. Play for just $1 per card.
Historic High Falls Hike
Did you know that there was once a bustling town in High Falls? Come out to the main office at High Falls State Park to learn more about “how things were, way back when” on July 1st at 4:00 pm, July 8th at 9:30 am, July 13th at 11:30 am, July 15th at 11:30 am, and July 22nd at 10:00 am . There is no charge for the tour. Parking is $5.
Glow In the Dark Mini Golf
Are your looking for something very unusual to do this weekend? Come spend a fun evening at High Falls State Park playing “Glow in the Dark Mini Golf!” Meet at the mini golf course from 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Just $5 per person and $5 to park.
Summer Concert Series
The Ty Reynolds Band covers a complete variety of songs including Top 40, rock, country, funk, Motown, etc. The hits span from the 70’s to current. Bring Friends and Family to an amazing night in Forsyth’s historic downtown. VIP tables and armbands are available. July 1st, 2023, 8:00 pm, on the square.
Need a GOOD reason to get up early? Look no further than the beauty to be found when you greet the morning with a free .5 mile “Morning Hike” at High Falls State Park. July 2nd, 2023 starting at 9:00 am at the park office. $5 parking.
STRESSED OUT? Spend some time reflecting on nature! Come to the program area at High Falls State Park on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm to learn about the peaceful practice of nature journaling! $2 per. person, notebooks included, plus $5 parking.
Do you know the difference between a frog and a toad? Join us at the High Falls State Park program area Sunday, July 2nd, 2023 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm to learn about frogs while doing a craft! $2 per. person plus $5 parking.
Are you a fan of the strange but true? Come meet in the program area at High Falls State Park on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at 12 noon to learn about spiders while doing a craft project. $2
Take Flight Hike
Can you recognize a bird by the sound of its call? To learn how to identify bird calls you need to participate in the Take Flight Hike presented at High Falls State Park. A free event on Thursday, July 13th at 9:30 am. $5 parking.
Bird Feeder Craft
Want to attract more birds to your yard? Feed them! Meet in the program area between 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Thursday, July 13th, 2023 at High Falls State Park to create a pinecone bird feeder craft for just $2.
Who doesn’t enjoy a scavenger hunt? Scavenger hunts are fun brain games! Come alone or by the car full because not only are scavenger hunts a fantastic way to bond with friends, but they engage your critical thinking skills. Join High Falls State Park at the Tranquility Trail head at 9:30 am on July 16th, 2023 to pick up a scavenger hunt page and see what you can find! Free with $5 paid parking.
Can you tell the difference between a butterfly and a moth? If you meet at the program area of High Falls State Park on July 16th, 2023 at 12 noon you can learn how – and complete a butterfly craft. $2

Log Roll Stroll
There is a flow of energy through a food web/food chain of every ecosystem beginning with sunlight and ending in decomposition. Join High Falls State Park at the Tranquility Trail head on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, at 9:30 am to take a stroll, roll over logs, to see what decomposers can be found. Free Activity. $5 parking.
Are you afraid of bats? Don’t be because bats play a critical role regarding insect control including beetles and mosquitos. Bats also help to spread seeds. Learn more reasons why bats are good for the environment and help people by visiting High Falls State Park Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, at 11:30 am, visit the bat house and make a bat craft afterwards! $2.

Kids 3-Day Nature Summer Camp
Come to an enchanting three-day summer adventure where young nature enthusiasts will embark on a journey into the fascinating world of plants and their helpers! World Ranger Day
World Ranger Day is celebrated around the world on July 31st each year on the anniversary of the founding of The International Ranger Federation (IRF), an organization that supports the work of rangers as the key protectors of parks and conservation. World Ranger Day will also be a day to remember the many rangers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty while protecting national and state parks.
