June 1 Velvet Runway
2019 The Georgia Trust Forsyth Expedition
The Georgia Trust invites you to explore the historic homes and sites of Forsyth during a day-long, self-guided tour. Tour the Forsyth Commercial Historic District that includes Courthouse Square and a variety of homes from the mid-19th and early-20th centuries when Forsyth experienced its commercial boom brought to the area by the arrival of the railroad, cotton agriculture and the opening of Tift College, one of the first female colleges in the world. June 8, 2019, 9am-5pm
Tadpole School Hosted by High Falls
This monthly nature class, held on June 28th, July 26th, and Aug 16 from 10 AM – 11 AM, leads little ones to explore some big ideas with help from their parents and the Park Naturalist. Bring your polliwogs out to Shelter #4. Appropriate for ages 2-5. Register in advance by calling the park office at 478.993.3053. $5 Fee.

4th of july talent showcase
No matter what talent you possess, sign up for the Talent Showcase set for July 3rd from 7 pm – 10 pm at the Monroe County Recreation Park.

American Clown Academy
The American Clown Academy is an all-inclusive training experience with a wide variety of North America’s premier authorities in clowning. The ACA is in Forsyth, just 45 minutes south of Atlanta. Experience everything from dance choreography to proper pie throwing technique, hospital clowning to circus clowning. The 2019 Academy is August 12-16 2019.
The Big Top Show
Join the Monroe County Fine Arts Center on August 15th at 7pm for “The Big Top Show.” Admission is $5 and will include free balloon animals and face painting and over 100 internationally acclaimed clowns!
