We kick off the beautiful spring season with one of the most exciting events of the year: The Forsythia Festival. This free, family-friendly event takes place the second weekend of March in downtown Forsyth. Activities include a two-day arts and crafts show, children’s fair, 5K and one-mile fun run, sporting tournaments, live entertainment, and more.

Americorps First Time Camper
AmeriCorps rangers are excited to lead you through a State Park camping adventure! High Falls State Park hosts the event which is scheduled for Saturdays, Apr 14th, May 12th, and Jun 16th. Most camping gear essentials will be provided! Set up camp Saturday, spend the afternoon and evening learning camping skills and exploring the park alongside a knowledgeable ranger, and pack up Sunday ready to embark on your own camping adventures. Autism Awareness Festival
The Autism Awareness Festival, sponsored by Anchor of Hope Foundation, is held on the last Saturday in April. It is a day of promoting community awareness, inclusion, and education about disability, while providing a place to foster friendships and show families facing developmental disability love and support. The festival includes a resource/craft fair, kids play area, 5K trail race, family fun run, local and professional entertainment, and food vendors.
Glow-N-Dark Egg Hunt
Be a part of the hunt for over 6,000 eggs hidden at High Falls State Park!
Soak in High Falls Lake and enjoy the setting sun in this peaceful 3-mile canoe trip to Buck Creek. The ranger will give a short lesson on the history of High Falls Lake and the local ecology. Canoeing experience is recommended. This program is open to adults and children 8 years. Please bring a headlamp and wear water shoes. Reservations required.
